Avocado dip
Back in July of 2020, the quarterback released his book The TB12 Method: How to Do What You Love, Better and for Longer . Included is info on the footballer’s strategies for peak performance and his TB12 diet that includes no white sugar, white flour, MSG, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, or eggplant, and also no dairy or coffee. Luckily all the MVPs we know and love in guac are still allowed.
TB12 Chunky Guac is pretty traditional but provides healthy fats, vitamins B and C, and potassium for energy thanks to the avocado, onion, and garlic. Other playmakers include lemon or lime juice and zest, Himalayan salt, and basil. Scooping it with tortilla chips seems like an easy touchdown, but Brady recommends eating it with veggie sticks or sweet potato toast, according to People . This gives you more fiber, vitamins, and minerals, so you’ll have the energy for the second half of the game.
Here’s the full recipe: ¼ cup diced white onion, rinsed and strained, 1 garlic clove, finely grated or minced, ¼ teaspoon ground coriander, ½ green jalapeño, seeded and finely diced (optional), 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon or lime juice, plus 1 tsp. zest, 1/2 tsp. Himalayan salt (you can add more to taste at the end), 1 ripe Haas avocado, 12 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced.
Simply combine all the ingredients except the avocado. Mash half and cube the other half then add to the rest.
