Pihakis Restaurant Group, the hospitality team led by restauranteur Nick Pihakis, has nine destinations in the works this calendar year, including two new eating places: Delicious City and Luca.
FSR journal described details on the two new principles. Delicious Town will blend Mediterranean fare with Birmingham’s meat and three delicacies, making it possible for patrons to customise their plates with 1 meat and 3 sides. In 2019, the Birmingham Enterprise Journal described on restauranteur Nick Pihakis’ strategies to open a classic Southern meat-and-3 in Baker’s Row II, a combined-use improvement at 10 14th Avenue South and 1300 Powell Avenue beneath advancement by Company Realty.
Luca will provide elevated Italian fare. Chef Rita Bernhardt will helm the kitchen area at Luca. Bernhardt was earlier the executive chef at Satterfield’s in Cahaba Heights, where her partner William Barial IV also served as normal supervisor. The partner and wife team joined Satterfield’s in 2019 after a range of culinary positions and initiatives in New Orleans, which include the New Orleans gourmet pop-up, supper club, and catering assistance PDR.
Previous year, Pihakis Cafe Group opened a next area of Hero Doughnuts and Buns near downtown Birmingham’s Railroad Park at 1701 1st Ave S, changing its locale of Mile Finish Deli. Pihakis Cafe Group and Capstone Serious Estate Investments also introduced strategies to produce new destinations of Rodney Scott’s BBQ and Tiny Donkey Mexican Cafe alongside the block at 28th Avenue South and 18th Street South in Homewood.
