MUMBAI (IANS) – Actress Huma Qureshi will be essaying the function of the finest-marketing cookbook author and household chef, Tarla Dalal, in the future biopic ‘Tarla’ directed by Piyush Gupta, who was earlier recognised for writing ‘Dangal’ and ‘Chhichhore’.
Commenting on her character, Huma said: “Tarla Dalal reminds me of my childhood. My mom had a duplicate of her e-book in the kitchen and would often consider quite a few of her recipes for my college tiffin.”
Huma, by the way, comes from a household of restaurateurs. Her father operates the famous Delhi cafe chain, Saleem’s, which is regarded for its kababs and is named following her brother (and actor), Saqib Saleem.
“I also clearly keep in mind the time when I helped mother make Tarla’s handmade mango ice-cream. This role has taken me again to those people sweet childhood memories,” Huma included. The movie has been manufactured jointly by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari.
