A New Italian Restaurant With Roots in Milan and Los Angeles Opens on the Strip in February

Matteo Ferdinandi and chef Angelo Auriana, the staff behind Eater 38 member Matteo’s Italian Ristorante at the Venetian, near Sixth + Mill at the Grand Canal Shoppes and transform the room with an indoor patio into Brera Osteria, opening in mid-February.

The cafe on the resort’s replica of St. Mark’s Sq. normally takes its title from the Brera community in Milan, Italy. The restaurant programs to serve dishes these kinds of as a braised pork shank, cacio e pepe, and lamb chops.

The duo already has Brera Ristorante in Downtown Los Angeles, wherever the late Jonathan Gold, previous food critic at the Los Angeles Periods, advised the farinata, a crepe that’s both of those tender and crunchy, to go with a Negroni.
